Health and safety experts convene in Singapore

OS+H Asia 2008, the 6th Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition for Asia, will take place September 17-19 in Singapore at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. The three-day exhibition is expected to attract an estimated 4,000 trade visitors and buyers.

Biennial event

According to OS+H 2008 show organizer Messe Düsseldorf Asia, the biennial event supports and promotes preventive safety and health consciousness on a global scale. The exhibition will introduce a wealth of products, services and cutting-edge innovations aimed at contributing to a safer and healthier work environment. Safety products on display from more than 100 exhibitors will include: personal protective equipment; emergency response equipment; environment control products; occupational medicine, hygiene and industrial first-aid; ergonomics solutions; and more.

The show’s main target groups include engineers/technicians, factory/plant managers, government and regulatory bodies, health officers, human resource personnel, inspectors and authorities, occupational physicians and nurses, facilities designers and consultants, OSH consultants, proprietors and managers, safety officers and supervisors — just to name a few.

Concurrent conference

The 19th Asia Conference on Occupational Health (ACOH) will be held concurrently with OS+H Asia 2008. Complementing the trade show, ACOH will address the issue of “Redefining Occupational Health in the Face of Globalization,” giving attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in occupational health in light of new technologies and globalization.
