Arizona Instrument LLC’s Jerome® J405 is capable of detecting mercury vapor levels down to 0.5 μg/m3. The J405 fulfills the protocols established by the EPA, and is housed in a light, ergonomically designed case. The J405 has a gold film sensor, which is one of the most rugged types of technology available today. This instrument is actually used for cleanup, and is not just a survey instrument. The J405 is capable of cleanup levels down to .5 µg/m3 or 500 nanograms, and complies with the EPA standard for acceptable residential cleanup. Additional features include fast response times, in-field sensor regenerations, on-board data logging, and USB and SCADA communications capabilities.
