Certain localized conditions can produce water that is too hot for safety shower/eyewash purposes. Whether the excessive input water temperature in the safety shower line is produced by high ambient temperatures, a hot potable water supply, exposure to a hot process environment or some combination of these factors, excessively hot water will need to be cooled before it is usable as safety equipment flushing fluid.
