Product InnovationsIndustrial glove manufacturer Southern Glove announced that it has added a new dual layer of protection to the new 2015 model of its Sarco Impact Glove, the original high-impact glove designed for drilling and mining.

“With the addition of the new 3rd Generation Superflex pad, the new version of the Sarco Impact Glove now offers more flexibility and comfort than past Sarco gloves, yet maintains great impact integrity,” said Brent Fidler, President and CEO, Southern Glove. “This extra level of protection helps protect your employees against painful and disabling injuries, while minimizing the probability of a recordable or lost-time incident.”

The Sarco Impact Glove is designed to minimize hand and finger injuries resulting from impacts to the back of the hand, fingers and thumb. It incorporates EVA, impact-resistant, closed-cell foam to protect fingers and hands. A Gen 3 Pad sewn into the glove helps negate slippage during heavy use.  Built-in flex points improve finger flexibility and mobility and a wing thumb also provides added comfort while reducing hand fatigue.

The Sarco Impact Glove has been in continuous use in the oil and natural gas industry for five years. Its innovative construction guards against the possible loss of well-trained, long-term employees while providing instant protection for new, untrained employees.

Southern Glove’s products are available exclusively through a national network of authorized glove distributors throughout the United States. The company also carries an extensive inventory of products located at its Newton, NC warehouse.

Headquartered in Newton, NC, Southern Glove is American-owned and managed by the same family who founded the company in 1945.
