Leading supplier of explosion proof and industrial grade lighting equipment Larson Electronics has announced the release of a temporary construction string light set assembled with four 3’ LED hand lamps and four tool taps.

The WAL-SL-4-FTL3-LED-4XO-E2E-BS1363 LED string light set from Larson Electronics is designed for high output illumination and daisy chain connections across the job site. This work area string light set contains four industrial grade LED work lights and four tool taps equipped with Type G BS1363 receptacles. The LED lamps and the four tool taps are connected in series along 70’ of cable. A molded T junction is mounted every ten feet, with two feet of SOOW cord connecting a single drop light and three feet of cord connecting a single tool tap to the backbone. Constructed to be completely weather proof and impact resistant, each LED drop light sacrifices no light output or quality to obtain these features. These work lights are shock resistant, making them durable enough to withstand drops, falls, and rough handling. Each drop light is equipped with a 14 watt T8 style LED lamp that produces 1,750 lumens and require no ballast to operate. The lightly frosted lens diffuses the light and makes this bulb ideal for food safe environments as there is no glass. The built in reflector provides a wide, glare free, and shadow-less light field of bright white light. Each light comes standard with a set of drop hooks to allow users to conveniently hang the unit overhead anywhere illumination is needed. A machined handle at the base of the light allows them to be used as a hand held lights for spot illumination when needed. This temporary LED string light is connected to power via an integrated 25’ cable terminated with a fused Type G BS1363 female receptacle on the output side, allowing for multiple units to be connected end-to-end. These string lights are universal voltage and operate on 220-240 volts AC.

“This string light and tool tap assembly is ideal for use with tools and electrical equipment in locations where connection to fixed receptacles is unavailable or impractical,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics.com. “It safely extends the operational range without creating hazards associated with excessive cords strewn about the workplace.”
