The National Safety Council has honored six individuals with Distinguished Service to Safety Awards, the highest award given to safety professionals. This year’s six recipients were honored at the Opening Session of the NSC Congress & Expo in Atlanta – the largest annual gathering of safety and health professionals in the U.S.

“These award recipients have shown an unwavering dedication to safety throughout their careers,” said Deborah A.P. Hersman, National Safety Council president and CEO. “Their efforts have undoubtedly helped make our world safer and inspired the next generation of safety leaders.”

This year’s honorees were nominated by a National Safety Council occupational safety volunteer group or division. The following individuals were honored:
