Following the second annual Workplace Safety Summit held in April and hosted by the Georgetown University Center for Business and Public Policy, four work groups will target these key areas as part of a nationwide effort to raise awareness of job safety and health issues:

1) Executive and organizational leadership, commitment and participation in ongoing summit-related activities;

2) Public education and outreach;

3) Encouraging companies to invest in safety and health by demonstrating the business value of such investments; and

4) Establishing a series of public policy forums on issues such as ergonomics. If your organization would like to be involved in any of these work groups, call (202) 478-6195.
