OSHA and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 150 Apprenticeship and Skill Improvement Program have formed an alliance to develop training and education programs that will foster safer and healthier workplaces, according to an agency release.

The IUOE program, located in Wilmington, Ill., is a training program with more than 600 apprentices. IUOE Local 150 frequently assists OSHA by hosting tower crane training to the OSHA regional area offices in the Midwest, according to the release.
