Have you ever stopped to think about how your life would change if you suddenly lost your vision? CNIB’s compelling new industrial eye safety workshop will make you do just that, according to a recent press release.

Come experience the launch of the visually graphic and highly interactive workshop on Oct. 20th at The Construction Safety Association of British Columbia’s (CSABC) Burnaby location.

The workshop, the first of its kind in Canada, is delivered by a facilitator with vision loss and is designed to educate workers about eye safety in the workplace and motivate them to follow safe work practices. Barry Weatherall, blinded after suffering third degree chemical burns to his eyes in a workplace accident more than a decade ago, will share his compelling story of recovery at the workshop launch.

Dramatic eye injury photographs, interactive exercises that give participants a sense of how it feels to suddenly be faced with vision loss, and poignant vignettes from individuals such as Barry who have experienced eye injuries make it an unforgettable workshop.
