The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has scheduled a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH), according to an agency press release. The ACCSH meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008.

Prior to the full meeting, the ACCSH workgroups will meet on Dec. 2-3, 2008. Following is a schedule of times for all ACCSH workgroups:

Multilingual - 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Dec. 2
Silica - 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Dec. 2
Diversity - Women in Construction – 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, Dec. 2
Residential Fall Protection - 1:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., Dec. 2
OSHA Training Institute (OTI) - 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Dec. 3
Trenching - 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Dec. 3
Regulatory Compliance (formerly Focused Inspection) – 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, Dec. 3
Rollover Protective Systems (ROPS) - 1:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., Dec. 3
The ACCSH and workgroup meetings will be held in Rooms N-3437A-D at the U.S. Department of Labor, Frances Perkins Building, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20210.

The committee advises the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on the formulation of standards affecting the construction industry and on policy matters arising in the administration of the safety and health provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the OSH Act of 1970.
