C-Clear lens care acquired by OnGuard™ parent (2/11)

Pittsburgh-based C-Clear, a manufacturer of branded and private labeled lens care products for industrial safety use, has been acquired by The Hilsinger Company (Hilco), headquartered in Plainville, MA, according to a recent press release. C-Clear’s product line features innovative, self-service lens cleaning stations that are designed for both worker convenience and cost effectiveness.

Hilco’s OnGuard brand is one of the leading prescription safety eyewear brands in North America. The company also supplies an expansive range of protective sports eyewear, fashion eyewear, and optical accessory products.

According to Hilsinger President Bob Nahmias, “C-Clear is a great fit for our company and for C-Clear customers, as it strengthens our industrial safety product offering and provides customer access to many other accessories designed specifically for industrial customers.”

C-Clear operations have been integrated into Hilco headquarters in Plainville, MA. C-Clear President Greg Gallaway has joined Hilco as a sales manager.
