The DuPont Sustainable Solutions Forum 2011, taking place Aug. 1 and 2 at the Virginia Beach Hilton, will open on Aug. 1 with keynote addresses by two well-known personalities: celebrated pilot and aviation safety expert Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III and best-selling author Daniel Pink. Sullenberger rose to fame when he successfully brought a US Airways flight down in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009, saving the lives of all 155 people on the aircraft. Captain Chesley B. Speaking at 8:45 a.m. EDT, Sullenberger will share his inspirational story while showing how lifelong learning and preparation are keys to overcoming obstacles and creating a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace culture.
 

At 10:45 a.m., Daniel Pink, author of New York Times bestsellers Drive and A Whole New Mind, will speak on creating a culture of high performance. Drawing upon 40 years of research in behavioral science and using examples from cutting-edge companies, Pink will identify the key ingredients of intrinsically motivated high performance.
