AIHAIn a letter sent last week to the Director of  the State Administration of Work Safety in China, American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) President Elizabeth Pullen expressed support for a draft law that would enhance occupational health in that country.

Pullen commended Li Yizhong on efforts behind a drafted law entitled; "Diagnosis and Identification of Occupational Disease."

"As an organization dedicated to promoting worker health and safety, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) understands that occupational health and wellness is not bound by borders, but an international challenge which must be met with astute leadership and advanced technology," wrote Pullen.

"Your efforts to promote occupational health within your own borders will, in turn, promote health and wellness elsewhere. In this current global economy, one nation’s progressive movements in workplace safety will positively affect fellow integrated economies."

Pullen offered the AIHA's assistance in efforts to promoteand preserve worker health and safety.
