ISHM goes global with CSHM exam

globalThe Institute for Safety & Health Management (ISHM) now offers the Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) examination anywhere in the world that has an acceptable internet connection.

The international scope is made possible by ISHM's partnership with Yardstick Software and ProctorU.

Greg Kureluk, Vice President of Yardstick, said ProctorU provides live proctors via web cams and screen sharing in order to proctor examinations anywhere in the world.

ISHM says the increasingly international reach of companies and the advent of global harmonization have increased the demand for certified safety managers.

Tom Slavin, Chair of the ISHM Exam Committee says: “As EHS managers deal with a global economy it becomes clear that the focus of safety and health management must be broader than any one county’s laws or culture. It is great that the CSHM will be able to recognize those who have mastered the practice of safety and health management throughout the world. “

The Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) certification is the only accredited certification that focuses entirely on the safety management process. The Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM) oversees the CSHM designation for the purpose of raising standards for practitioners of safety and health management.
