Gateway Safety and 3M Executives elected to ISEA Board of Trustees

Love, CPA, President and CEO of Gateway Safety and Robert A. “Bob” Weber, CIH, Global Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager of 3M Company’s Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Division (OH&ESD) have been elected to the Board of Trustees of the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA), the association for personal protective equipment and technologies.

The elections took place on April 30, 2012 at ISEA’s Executive Summit, the association’s annual meeting in San Antonio, Tex.

Love joined Gateway Safety in 2005 in his current position. As a Certified Public Accountant, he began his career with PriceWaterhouse and has held various executive leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer of Optate, Inc. and President of The Evanston Group, a consultancy focused on development-stage companies and turnaround opportunities. He has taught management development and accounting courses at the corporate and undergraduate levels, respectively.

Love holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and a master’s degree in management from The Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Gateway Safety, headquartered in Cleveland, Oh., is a leading provider of safety products including the StarLite® brand of eyewear and the GirlzGear line of protective devices designed especially for women.

Weber has over 30 years of experience in the safety and health industry and has been with 3M OSH&ED in St. Paul, Minn. for more than 20 years. In his current role, he is responsible for leadership and direction in the advancement of quality and regulatory affairs operations for 3M’s global personal protective equipment businesses. Weber is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Viterbo University. He earned a master’s degree in environmental health & safety from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from St. Thomas University. 3M Company is a global manufacturer of head-to-toe safety equipment and protective technologies that includes the Scotchlite™ brand of reflective material.

Also at the Executive Summit, Mitch Lewellen, CEO of MCR Safety, Memphis, Tenn, was reelected to a second term as chairman of the ISEA Board, and Brian Lyons, vice president-sales and marketing of International Enviroguard, Mesquite.Tex., was reelected as vice chairman.

Continuing members of the ISEA Board are William M. Lambert, president and CEO of Mine Safety Appliances, Pittsburgh, Penn.; Richard C. McNeely, personal safety market manager for Reflexite Americas, Avon, Conn.; Dale Outhous, vice president, ethylene copolymers, DuPont, Wilmington, Del.; Tom Votel, president and CEO of Ergodyne, St. Paul, Minn.; and John Zuleger, vice president and general manager, general safety and preparedness Americas at Honeywell Safety Products, Smithfield, R.I.
