Summit Training Source offers new GHS training videoWith the recently published GHS regulations beginning May 25, 2012 and continuing through to 2015, Summit Training Source has released their newest DVD training program, “GHS: Globalize Your Communication,” to help companies meet and understand the critical new standard for universal handling instructions for hazardous chemicals.  The Globally Harmonized System is a global system for hazard communication created by the United Nations, along with the United States and many other countries, to make sure chemical labels are clear and easily understood worldwide.

More than ever, we live in a global economy that is built around the use of chemicals.  In the United States alone, 650,000 chemicals in the workplace are classified as hazardous, and from their production, to their use and transport, they pose a risk to workers and the environment.  The challenge is to keep these workers well-informed and safe.  Summit’s new DVD program, “GHS: Globalize Your Communication”, is a five lesson, interactive program that ensures that your workers understand how to identify hazards and handle these chemicals safely, regardless of their origin, by covering:

  • What is the GHS?
  • GHL Labels
  • Safety Data Sheets, and
  • Safety Checklists

Summit’s DVD training courses are an effective multi-media presentation, combining expert content with scenes that are filmed on location, in real working situations using real workers to ensure maximum engagement and retention of material.  Free previews of this training program are available by contacting Summit Training Source at 800.842.0466 or visiting www.safetyontheweb.com.
