Youngstown flame resistant Mechanics Hybrid glove offers the dexterity you need along with important safety features you can't be without

Retain Ability to Grasp and Hold Onto Tools, Parts and More While Keeping Hands Safe from Abrasions, Cuts and Burns

Youngstown FR Mechanics Hybrid gloveWe've been told by repeatedly that workers need to "feel what they are doing" and that gloves oftentimes hinder their ability to diagnose and repair machinery, wiring and other mechanical and electrical issues. But the fact is between sharp edges, heat and even electrical elements, danger abounds and your hands are too valuable to be barehanded. This is why designers at Youngstown Glove Company® have created the Youngstown FR Mechanics HybridTM glove which offers a superior level of protection all while giving you the flexibility your hands need to grab, twist, turn and well, get the job done.

Whether your day-to-day work involves energy or oil and gas, utility workers can trust that the Youngstown FR Mechanics Hybrid glove has you covered - literally. Its multi-layered system incorporates naturally strong and durable goatskin leather and the manmade strength of Kevlar® and Nomex®. Together they provide the protection you need without sacrificing comfort or dexterity.

Soft and supple 100 percent goatskin leather lets your fingers stay nimble so you can pick up even the smallest of bolts and screws. The leather, combined with the glove's strong Kevlar® composition makes it flame resistant, exceeding industry standards as it pertains to ASTM D6413 & F2302. This means it has been tested under an open flame resulting in less than two seconds of after flame and six inches in char length.

We all know ARC accidents can be dangerous - even deadly. The FR Mechanics Hybrid glove helps protect its wearer against ARC flash and is ARC rated to 12 Cal/cm2, making it Hazard Risk Category (HRC) Level 2. To further your personal safety, the Youngstown FR Mechanics Hybrid glove also has a top of hand FR Nomex® lining made from flame-resistant aromatic nylon, which will not burn, drip, melt or support combustion in the air. The material, which is commonly used in firefighter and Air Force gear is breathable and also works as additional insulation helping to keep hands warm.

The glove's palm has a lining of Kevlar, a superior synthetic material with a high tensile strength-to-weight ratio and is five times stronger than steel. Made to withstand high impact strikes, the Kevlar® lining is extremely lightweight and makes the palm cut resistant protecting hands from lacerations from tools, wiring and other sharp objects. The lining also adds to the overall durability of the palm.

Part of the company's groundbreaking Performance Leather Series, the Youngstown FR Mechanics Hybrid glove combines the best of Youngstown's technology and 3D ergonomic, form-fit glove design which includes an easy on/off cuff design, and an extra layer of leather protection where you need it most on the knuckles, fingertips, saddle and palm. An extra-wide pattern lessens hand fatigue and allows mechanics to wear the glove comfortably for a longer period of time.
