Safety Today: History, focus and market presence

Safety Today, Inc. was founded in 1946 and is one of the largest full service safety equipment distributors in North America with focus in the Glass, Metalworking & Equipment Manufacturing, Automotive, Cruise Line and Food Processing sectors, protecting workers and their worksites for over 64 years. We work closely with our customers to provide personalized risk/cost-reduction solutions ranging from a comprehensive product offering to full-service training and work-site/job hazard assessment capabilities.

Equipment and services are provided from our main distribution center in Groveport, Ohio as well as from locations across the United States and Canada - including Lexington, Kentucky; Merrillville, Indiana; Turlock, California; Alpharetta, Georgia; Pompano Beach, Florida; Andover, Massachusetts; San Antonio, Texas; Chattanooga Tennessee and Brantford, Ontario. We also have an affiliated safety company in Sao Paulo, Brazil and a strategic alliance in Mexico City to support customer needs in these two rapidly expanding markets.

Safety Today is active in and long time member of the National Safety Council (NSC), Safety Equipment Distributors Association (SEDA), and Safety Marketing Group (SMG). We participate on Supplier Advisory Boards for leading safety equipment manufacturers including 3M, Kimberly Clark, MSA and Sperian. We are also active in various initiatives being driven by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International).
