Larson Electronics announces release of 150 watt explosion proof LED pedestal light

Magnalight explosion-proof 150 watt LED lightLarson Electronics announced today the release of a 150 watt LED pedestal light designed to provide portable high power illumination in areas designated as hazardous locations. Featuring a 150 watt LED lamp producing 14,790 lumens and a lightweight pedestal base, the HAL-PM-1X150LED-100 Hazardous Location LED Light is ideal for workers who need high power illumination in a portable package.

The HAL-PM-1X150LED-100 hazardous location LED light from Larson Electronics provides operators with a portable yet powerful source of illumination that is approved for Class 1 Division 2 locations. This compact unit features a 150 watt LED lamp housed within a cast aluminum closure mounted to an aluminum pedestal base with built in carry handle. The lamp housing is powder coated for durability and is equipped with a hinged access door with impact and heat resistant flat glass lens for easy access and servicing of the LED lamp assembly. The LED lamp is a 150 watt fixture producing 14,790 lumens of high quality light output in a wide flood pattern for good coverage of larger areas. The LED lamp in this pedestal light produces illumination comparable to a 400 watt metal halide lamp, yet uses less power, runs far cooler, and is much less sensitive to damage from impacts and vibration. The LEDs in this unit are Cree XLamp emitters and provide a 50,000 hour operational life with excellent lumen retention and high output. The explosion proof light assembly can also be adjusted vertically to help provide illumination precisely where it is needed. The pedestal base is designed for stability and light weight, with a triangular body with wide base constructed from heavy gauge aluminum that resists tipping. A built in carry handle provides easy handling, and 100 feet of included SOOW cord fitted with an explosion proof plug provides ample length for deployment and safe connections. This LED pedestal light is rated Class 1 Division 2 Groups C and D, and approved for wet areas and marine environments, making it ideal for use in offshore applications and industrial operations where space is limited and wet and corrosive environments are encountered. These explosion proof lights operate with universal 120-277 VAC current, allowing the use of standard voltages commonly found in industrial and commercial operations.

“The HAL-PM-1X150LED-100 represents a favorable combination of portability, power and durability,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com.  “This Class 1 Division 2 LED is cool running alternative to comparable 400 watt metal halide lights and in areas where operators may bump into the light within close quarters, LED can be a better choice.”

Larson Electronics’ Magnalight offers a wide selection of LED pedestal lights, LED work lights, explosion proof LED lights, LED flashlights, intrinsically safe LEDs and LED spotlights.
