New Product Additions and Classroom Training Programs Extend Werner’s Reach and Scope within the Fall Protection Category

Greenville, PA, November 5, 2012 – Werner Co. announced today at STAFDA the introduction of new products and training to support their growing line of Fall Protection equipment that launched in early 2012. Werner’s new Fall Protection product will include personalized harnesses and self-retracting lifelines for builders, professional contractors and safety professionals who depend on safe access at any height.

Werner’s current line of Fall Protection equipment includes a complete selection of harnesses, lanyards, anchors, connecting devices, lifelines, compliance kits and related accessories for construction and roofing professionals. Building on the successful launch of these core items, Werner is announcing the following new product additions:
• BaseWear™ a universal fit harness that offers a value proposition and is the foundation for Werner’s new Compliance Kit, which includes buckets for roofing and tool bags for aerial lift applications.
• The AutoCoil2™ series of Self Retracting Lifelines provides a broad selection of lengths from 7’ to 60’ and greater range of flexibility while minimizing the fall distance.
• URMARK™ is Werner’s personalized fall protection program that enables users to customize harnesses and tool bags with a company logo and help inhibit theft on the jobsite.
In early 2013, Werner will also launch a comprehensive fee-based training program at various locations across the U.S. The classes, which will emphasize fall protection competency training, are intended to save lives and give safety directors and end users the necessary information to make decisions that will not only affect their own personal safety, but also protect their co-workers. When introducing fall protection equipment, proper training is imperative to ensure safe use on the worksite. More information, including class descriptions, availability and pricing, will be featured in the support section of the Werner website beginning in January 2013.

“With new OSHA regulations for residential construction, effective fall protection products and training are imperative for this new group of users”, said Chris Filardi, Vice President of Marketing at Werner. “The new self-retracting lifelines, customizable harnesses and training programs in addition to our existing products will offer end users and safety directors the tools and services they need to safely do their jobs.”
