The new Miller SkyORB™ Overhead Rotational Boom Anchor provides a safe fall protection anchorage point when loading and unloading vehicles

Portable, lightweight, 360-degree anchor utilizes vehicle weight to secure unit

SkyORBThe unique design of the new Miller SkyORB™ Overhead Rotational Boom Anchor by Honeywell Safety Products utilizes the weight of the vehicle being loaded, unloaded or serviced, as a counterweight to provide a safe overhead anchorage point.

Alex Tsen, Product Marketing Manager – Safety at Heights, Anchorage Systems for Honeywell Safety Products said: “The Miller SkyORB eliminates the need for heavy, bulky counterweights and is very cost-effective compared to expensive, custom-engineered, fixed overhead anchor systems.”

The unit features a 20-foot telescoping mast and a boom that rotates 360 degrees, allowing it to be easily positioned above a worker’s head to minimize free-fall distance and swing fall when used with a self-retracting lifeline. In addition, its patented energy-absorbing technology reduces forces on the system. The Miller SkyORB Anchor is designed for use with elevated platforms ranging from 6 feet to 14 feet above the ground and provides a working radius of up to 14 feet.

Weighing only 1,050 pounds, the Miller SkyORB is lighter and more versatile than competitive systems. Its modular design makes it easy to transport and requires only a forklift for assembly.
