ASSEIf you’ve been intending to submit a proposal to speak at the American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) 2014 Professional Development Conference, the time to do so is now.

The ASSE’s annual conferences provide a forum for environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals to expand their knowledge and professional skills, identify emerging issues and engage in discourse with others in their field. Safety 2014 will be held June 8-11, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.

Whether your expertise is in construction, oil and gas, hazardous materials, sustainability, regulatory issues, healthcare, training, risk management or a host of other areas, Safety 2013 may be your opportunity to share your knowledge with your colleagues in the form of a presentation. The committee is particularly interested in advanced, technically oriented and practical presentations.

The online submission page is at: www.asse.org/callforpresenters2014 and the deadline to submit proposals is tomorrow, Friday, JULY 19.

Would-be presenters are asked to describe their presentation and the expected learning outcomes for attendees; provide a brief description of the presentation to be included in the conference brochure; and give some information about their professional experience, certifications and speaking experience.

Presentations are either one or one and a half hours long, including 15 minutes for questions.
