earthThe Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has released Chinese and Portuguese editions of its Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) best practices bulletin, in addition to the Spanish and English versions already available. The bulletin advances global understanding of proper remote refueling practices using Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD).

Equipment manufacturers working through AEM initiated the safety-education outreach earlier in 2013 to meet North American needs, where ULSD is mandated. AEM expanded the scope to emerging markets in recognition of their potential or growing ULSD use.

A multi-sector AEM ad hoc committee of member companies developed the best practices bulletin, titled “ULSD...Not Your Same Old Diesel Fuel Anymore.”

AEM offers high-quality pre-printed copies of the bulletin in tri-fold format that are ideal for customer handouts at events. AEM also provides free PDFs of the bulletin in trifold and two-column formats for laser printer quality copies.

Understanding the risks

AEM is encouraging industry groups and government entities to disseminate the bulletin to foster widespread understanding of the related risks during ULSD refueling.
