Vendor NewsEyelation, Inc. is pleased to announce today the closing of a $1.3 Million round led by the Chicago-based angel investing group IrishAngels. This funding will allow Eyelation to continue the rapid expansion of its safety eyewear kiosk program at manufacturing plants around the U.S. with key distribution partners Honeywell.

The Eyelation kiosk program meets companies’ stringent safety needs while alleviating the time, money and complexity of traditional safety eyewear programs. Employees can order prescription safety eyewear quickly and affordably from an on-site kiosk, eliminating the need for on-premise opticians and off-site visits.

Safety Administrators track employee purchases and extract data from the secure benefit management system. The program eliminates the archaic and time-consuming benefit tracking and monitoring currently in use. Complex benefit structures and purchasing restrictions can be set up for different departments or specific individuals.

Bradley Kirshner, CEO and founder of Eyelation, is thrilled to work with IrishAngels. “We are incredibly excited to have the IrishAngels group as a key investor in our company.  As Eyelation continues to grow, we value having good people around us that want to help drive success. We have been fortunate in that regard and look forward to a bright future!”

IrishAngels, an angel investing group affiliated with the University of Notre Dame, invests in early stage companies throughout the U.S. As part of the deal, Jordan Curnes will join the board of Eyelation. Curnes said, “In more traditional industries such as manufacturing, exciting niches exist where technological innovation can quickly spread throughout the ecosystem to reduce costs and make processes more efficient. The kiosk solution for Eyelation immediately reduces headaches for plant managers and creates a quick and easy way to help all of their employees maintain proper safety practices.”

Eyelation was founded in 2009, and is based out of Tinley Park, IL. Eyelation is dedicated to bringing safety compliance in prescription safety eyewear to every employee, on every shift, at every location.
