Family-owned businesses are the backbone of Nevada’s economy and this year Haws was nominated for the Nevada Business Magazine’s 2014 Family-Owned Business Award in “The More the Merrier” category. With several hundred entries, a nomination in itself is cause for celebration but on May 15, Haws was announced as the 2014 winner of this prestigious award. Mike Traynor, Chairman of the Board, and additional Haws family members Stephanie Kilroy, Jill White and Kevin Traynor were on hand to accept the award on behalf of the Haws Corporation family. “I am very proud of the team here at Haws. The success of our business and the culture that we have here comes largely from the sense of family that we share, even as we grow. I am honored that our team has been recognized with the award and congratulate them on their achievement!” said Tom White, President of Haws Corporation.
