3M’s Occupational Health & Environmental Safety Division (OHESD) has announced the winners of its 26th annual Industrial Hygiene Scholarship Program.

FabEnCo, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of self-closing safety gates, announced today that the company’s CEO, David H. LaCook, recently presented the ASSE Foundation with a donation of $110,000 to establish an endowment to fund a $4,000 annual scholarship. 

The American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) Fellows special interest group (SIG) rose to the challenge put to them at their annual meeting this year and raised an impressive $26,000 toward a Fellows Scholarship fund in only six weeks.

To honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., and to support students studying occupational safety and health, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Foundation announced the recipients of the ‘America Responds Memorial Scholarship’ and the ‘Harry Taback 9/11 Memorial Scholarship.’
