Among those already proposed are the confined spaces in construction rule; a new electric power transmission and distribution rule for electrical protective equipment; and a new rule focusing on cranes and derricks.
OSHA also noted several rules in the pre-proposed phase. These include regulations on occupational exposure to crystalline silica, beryllium, methylene chloride (which is a Section 610 Review), and diacetyl and food flavorings containing diacetyl.
