The Continuing Challenge Steering Committee has lined up an array of exciting classes; some new, some reprised from previous years and, as always, some basic classes for the first timers. This year’s theme, “Making It Real - Book Smarts to Street Smarts”, represents what the Continuing Challenge is all about. The hazardous materials industry is continually evolving and emergency responders need academic as well as practical intelligence.

The Continuing Challenge Steering Committee mission is to provide knowledge and skills along with useful training which can be applied in real life situations, for all emergency responders to hazardous materials incidents affecting public health and safety and the environment. Every year at the Workshop, the instructors and exhibitors make it real for new and returning students, by providing relevant courses and showcasing new and innovative tools and resources for protecting the public and the environment.
