Protecting workers who are not in health care from Ebola
While most workers in the U.S. are unlikely to be exposed to the Ebola virus or come into contact with people who are ill with Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever (EHF), many employers across a variety of industries are concerned about protecting their personnel from the virus.
Healthcare workers, understandably, are most at risk, but they are not alone. Those in mortuary/death care; the airline and travel industry; airline servicing; laboratory work; border, customs and quarantine workers; emergency responders and anyone who interacts with people, animals, goods, and equipment arriving in the U.S. from foreign countries with current EHF outbreaks may also be potentially exposed to the virus.
