Palm-size noise detectors proposed to measure NYC hustle and bustle
A New York City Council bill would require the Big Apple’s Department of Environmental Protection to install palm-size detectors to collect data on noise pollution in city neighborhoods, according to WCBS Radio.
The palm-size detectors will primarily be used to measure noise levels from traffic, constructionand trains, said Councilworman Margaret Chin, D-Manhattan, sponsor of the bill.
