OSHA calls it “The standard that gave workers the right to know, now gives them the right to understand” and its next big deadline is coming up on June 1, 2016.
That’s when the agency’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) will require employers to have updated alternative workplace labeling and hazard communication program in effect, and provide additional employee training for newly identified physical or health hazards.
