A staffing firm ignored complaints from employees about health problems for months, leading to workers being sent to the hospital for carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, according to Cal/OSHA, which has cited and fined the firm.
Citations issued by the agency against Barrett Business Services following a September 28, 2011 carbon monoxide warehouse incident in Anaheim that sent eight temporary workers to the hospital were upheld by the Occupational Safety and Health Appeals Board (OSHAB).
