AIHA awards more Than $131,800 in scholarships to 51 outstanding students
The Board of Trustees of the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation (AIHF) has selected 51 outstanding students to receive more than $131,800 in scholarships this year. The recipients have distinguished themselves through their commitment to their studies, their communities, and the profession of industrial hygiene.
"We must prepare and encourage the next generation of industrial hygienists," said AIHF Board of Trustees President Steven E. Lacey, PhD, CIH, CSP. "We are competing with other science and engineering disciplines for the next generation of professionals, and we want the best and brightest with us, protecting worker health. I want to congratulate these scholarship winners on their hard work, to encourage even more students to apply next year, and to thank all of the donors who made this possible. Be sure to congratulate these students in Seattle."
