Home » AIHA wins another Platinum in MarCom Awards International Creative Competition
The second issue of the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) IH Heroes comic, On the Fly, has won a Platinum Award by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) MarCom Awards. This is the second year that AIHA's creative efforts in promoting industrial and occupational hygiene are recognized by AMCP. In 2017, AIHA also received two Gold Awards for the IHHeroes.org website and the first issue of its IH Heroes comic, The Human Factor, as well as a Platinum Award for the first two installments of its I Am IH video documentary series. All four elements are part of the award-winning #IAmIH outreach and awareness campaign.\
"We are honored that AMCP has awarded this vital public education effort," said Susan Marchese, Managing Director of Marketing and Communications at AIHA who led the team to develop this public awareness effort. "The name of the profession, 'industrial hygiene' does not resound with the general public, yet IH professionals are the quiet heroes in every workplace, assuring prevention of workplace injuries, illness and death. By depicting industrial hygienists in relatable story lines through our multi-media outreach tools, we have begun to increase the understanding of AIHA's mission."
