President-elect Joe Biden taps former OSHA head for COVID-19 advisory board
President-elect Joe Biden appointed David Michaels, former head of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, to his Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board.
Mr. Michaels, an epidemiologist and professor of environmental and occupational health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University, served as Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA from 2009 to 2017. Under President Bill Clinton, Mr. Michaels served as Assistant Secretary of Energy for Environment, Safety and Health.
