OSHA's determination that the American Fireworks Co. committed seven serious violations in connection with a fatal incident during a fireworks display in Syracuse, N.Y., last June is being disputed by the company, according to the Ithaca Journal.
A 27-year-old nephew of the owner of the company, who worked evenings and weekends helping set off fireworks, was killed when the display exploded early and one of the shells struck him in the head.
