OSHA has proposed a $128,250 fine against Vail Resorts, Inc. for failing to take proper safety measures prior to the drowning last fall of a Keystone ski area employee.
A 28-year-old employee was engulfed by water in a below-ground vault used for snowmaking in the early hours of Nov. 25, 2002, according to a report in the Rocky Mountain News. His body was found entangled in pipes and valves.
