Conveyer belt injury leads to multiple safety citations
A worker at an Ohio company was injured after his clothing became caught in a conveyer belt -- an incident which prompted an OSHA investigation and resulted in citations for 13 safety violations.
Basic Grain Products in Coldwater, Ohio was cited for failuring to develop and ensure machine-specific energy control procedures were used to control the flow of hazardous energy when workers were cleaning the conveyor system, which left them exposed to amputation and "caught-by" hazards.
