NTSB go-team headed to Columbus train derailment scene
A freight train derailment, explosion and fire early this morning in Columbus, Ohio resulted in injuries to two people in the vicinity of the accident. Authorities say no train personnel were injured.
The derailment forced the evacuation of a mile-wide area in Columbus. A spokesman for Columbus Public Health said that several of the train cars contained styrene, a carcinogenic derivative of benzene that can harm the nervous system.
