Roco Rescue accepts distinguished OSHA VPP Star Award
Earlier this year, Roco Rescue was awarded the OSHA VPP Star, marking them the first rescue training, equipment and safety services company in the United States to receive the award. For more than 30 years, Roco has trained, equipped and served municipal, industrial and military responders from all around the world.
OSHA now recognizes them for their excellent safety history, practices and programs, which makes them a part of a distinguished community of approximately 2,400 other elite organizations in the nation who have met the rigorous guidelines for achieving VPP Star recognition. Today, several supporters gathered alongside CEO/President Kay Goodwyn, Senior VP and COO John Voinché and the Roco crew at the Roco Training Center in Baton Rouge to celebrate. Goodwyn accepted an official OSHA plaque of honor before a VPP Star Worksite flag was assembled onto the site’s flagpole, and raised up into the clear blue sky as spectators clapped and cheered.
