At this time, the NFPA 70E committee has approved the ballot for the Second Draft of the 2015 edition. During balloting there were strong objections to the new PPE tables that were proposed. The committee members involved did not believe that the new tables were an improvement, and in fact were “going back to the 50’s” as one committee member put it. The majority of the NFPA 70E committee did not believe that was the case and approved the tables. The new tables are discussed in more detail later in this article. The committee approved what I like to call the “Big Three”:
