DSM Dyneema launches distributor program, gives away demo kiosk at National Safety Council’s Annual Congress & Expo
Setting new industry standards with a material that combines unmatched cut resistance with ultimate comfort
DSM Dyneema, the manufacturer of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMwPE) fiber, Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber, and leading cut resistance innovation Dyneema® Diamond Technology, unveiled a new sales training and marketing collaboration, the Diamond Coalition at the National Safety Council’s (NSC) Congress & Expo. Aimed at personal protective equipment distributors, the Diamond Coalition offers members access to exclusive training and communications programs that will prepare them to become the most effective distributors of cut resistant gloves made with Dyneema® Diamond Technology, and ultimately increase their sales potential. To support this initiative, the company will sponsor a register-to-win portable demonstration kiosk giveaway to distributors who attend the show. The kiosk offers distributors an ideal platform for showcasing cut resistant gloves made with Dyneema® and Dyneema® Diamond Technology, as well as demonstrating easy to replicate common sense cut tests comparing various materials, abrasion test results, and on-screen access via iPad or tablet computer to research and materials comparison data. DSM Dyneema will also conduct demonstrations at its booth (#3853) to showcase the superior protection and comfort that Dyneema® Diamond Technology offers compared to other materials.
Hand injuries are a leading cause of lost workdays and emergency-room visits, making them costly to both employers and employees alike. DSM Dyneema takes hand injuries very seriously, and the launch of the Diamond Coalition highlights its commitment to working with the world’s leading work glove manufacturers to create the “World’s Safest Hands,” and set a new standard for cut protection in the workplace. Dyneema® Diamond Technology is the only fiber that can be used without adding other materials to create a comfortable, thin, supple glove that reaches up to EN 388 level 5 cut protection. The material is also increasingly used in performance apparel such as ice hockey socks, denim and other gear that benefit from its strength, light weight and cut/abrasion resistance.
