Prevent slips, trips and falls one step at a time with two new online training programs from J. J. Keller
Due to injuries, fatalities and lost workdays, slips, trips and falls had a $13.7 billion price tag in 2012, according to the most recent data available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Bureau also reported 285,380 nonfatal injuries and 704 fatal injuries that same year.
“While slips, trips, and falls can result in relatively minor injuries like cuts, bruises, strains or sprains, even ‘minor’ injuries can cause considerable pain and inconvenience,” said Jennifer Stroschein, workplace safety editor at J. J. Keller. “Slips, trips and falls can also result in serious lacerations, broken bones, and back or head injuries…injuries that can be debilitating or fatal.”
