Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS), a leader in first-aid supplies and automated external defibrillator (AED) programs, today announced it has raised $195,000 for the American Heart Association (AHA) through its participation in more than 50 nationwide Heart Walks & Runs in 2013. This total surpasses the initial goal of raising $175,000 to fight heart disease. The Cintas 2014 schedule will aim to generate $220,000 for the cause.
According to OSHA, jobs with shift work, high stress, and exposure to certain chemicals and electrical hazards increase the risks of heart disease and cardiac arrest.
