ESFI provides safety tips in the aftermath of floods
While the flooding has abated in South Carolina, extreme weather is always a possibility throughout the U.S. The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is reminding people that danger may linger in your home even after the storm has passed.
“As families begin cleaning up after a flood, there are many hidden electrical hazards throughout the home,” said ESFI President, Brett Brenner. “Water and electricity don’t mix, and the dangers associated with submerged electrical equipment can be deadly.”
