The group’s latest advisory - published in the journal Circulation - comes after challenges in the popular press (and some scientific literature) to the notion that limiting saturated fats is good. The AHA says it continues to recommend replacing saturated fats with poly- and mono-unsaturated vegetable oil to help prevent heart disease.
