OSHA & Small Business Administration target ergonomics

The Small Business Administration is the latest partner to hook up with OSHA, and as with recent pacts with the American Meat Institute and a group of 13 airlines, this alliance with the SBA focuses on ergonomics.

"OSHA welcomes the opportunity to work closely with the SBA to help millions of small businesses across the country reduce ergonomic hazards in their workplaces," says OSHA chief John Henshaw.

Under the agreement, OSHA and SBA will establish an information sharing process to distribute ergonomics program information to small businesses. The two organizations also will create a system to submit small business input on industry and task-specific ergonomics guidelines.
