International Glove Assocation honored Frank Stucke inducted on March 20, 2017

During a March 20 awards reception at its 2017 Glove Symposium, the International Glove Association (IGA) inducted Frank Stucke into the prestigious IGA Hall of Fame. Stucke began his career in the industrial glove market during the 1970’s, joining the Perfect Fit Glove Company as a knitting machine mechanic while attending high school.
People who are at higher risk for developing latex allergy include: Health care workers and others who frequently wear latex gloves. People who have had multiple surgeries (for example, 10 or more), such as children with spina bifida. People who are often exposed to natural rubber latex, including rubber industry workers.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work gloves doesn’t immediately spring to mind as a “business enabler” – allowing workers to be more motivated and productive. PPE spend is only one element of investment in health and safety – but it’s an important one.
The recent FDA announcement banning the use of powdered surgical and patient examination gloves in the United States, as well as the absorbable powder used to lubricate these gloves, certainly comes as no surprise.

Steve Hwang has spent 16 years at Revco Industries, most recently as Executive Vice President. Prior to that, he held positions as VP of Business Development & Operations, Operations Manager, and IT Manager. His experience with Revco Industries covers the spectrum of operational and business development duties, including supply chain management, strategic partnerships, analytics, quality, and production.
