John Montigny promoted to Chief Marketing Officer

Honeywell Life Safety, a Division of Honeywell, Inc. announced July 14, 2011 the promotion of John Montigny to the position of chief marketing officer for Honeywell Safety Products (HSP) the $2 billion world leader in Personal Protective Equipment.   In this new role, Montigny will lead HSP’s efforts in developing and executing global growth strategies across all product lines and regions as well as overseeing all communications, branding and overall marketing capability for the business. 

 Bill Hayes, president of HSP stated, “This organizational move is another significant step in building out our best-in-class organization.  I look forward to working with John and the rest of my team as we build the industry reference leader and best PPE Company in the world.” 

 Prior to his most recent role with HSP, Montigny held a variety of strategic sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility within the Sperian organization. Prior to joining Sperian in 2000, he was employed with Fortune Brands as Brand Manager for Titleist Golf Balls.  Before joining Fortune Brands, Montigny had a range of positions with Bausch & Lomb’s International Division working on global brand initiatives under such leading brands as Ray-Ban Sunglasses and Renu contact lens solution.  He also held sales positions with General Electric as a sales engineer and sales management roles within high technology firms. Montigny holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts as well as an MBA from Cornell University and an MBA with a concentration in international management from the Catholic University in Leuven, Belgium.

 Montigny currently serves as a member of the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School Board, the UMASS Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research Board and a Board Member of privately held Maritime International based in New Bedford Massachusetts and specializing in frozen food storage and logistics.
