For operations like oil and gas that involve hazardous processes, change management can be a matter of life and death. Operational failures resulting from insufficiently planned changes can result in catastrophic events.
Safety circuits used in machine guarding applications incorporate devices such as sensors and relays to de-energize equipment if any hazardous condition is detected. These conditions normally involve a machine guard not being closed, a presence sensor detecting personnel in an unsafe area or the triggering of an emergency stop function.
Safety managers are responsible for keeping workers safe, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of sales or productivity. That often starts with picking the right PPE provider. At its core, a PPE provider partnership is about delivering high levels of service and quality products.

The review would look at whether the permits were properly issued. Frustrated employees at the oil and gas regulator say that the placeholder files have been used by higher-ups to give petroleum companies a shortcut around legally required safety and environmental reviews.
Noise complaints about helicopters flying over New York City are on course to reach a record level this year.
